About Our Venue
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne city since 2014, our mission is to provide artists and dancers with an open, inclusive, and creative space that fosters the exchange and development of arts and culture.
Our facility
Our facility boasts dance equipment and technical support, including:
– Main studio (10m x 6m) equipped with full-length mirrors and curtains
– Practice studio (7m x 3.5m) equipped with full-length mirrors
– Sound and lighting systems
– Changing room

Hiring/Collaboration Conditions (for public art events)
Our space is designed to inspire creative thinking, support artistic creation, and offer a diverse platform for artists and dancers to explore, experiment, and showcase their work.
Currently, the venue operates on an invite-only basis for any public outcomes to be presented at the studios. We encourage artists and organisation to submit their project proposals via EOI to realise their creative and artistic goals within our space. If interested in collaborating, please submit your project proposal and relevant information via email.
*Note that each proposal will be evaluated based on its artistic value, innovation, and alignment with our mission.

As a vibrant dance lab full of creativity and passion, we’re excited to welcome top achievers to explore the art of dance with us! This year, we continue to offer Dance Scholarships to outstanding students—guiding you to discover a whole new dimension of expression!
No dance experience? No problem! If you:
✅ Love exploring and embracing challenges
✅ Have achieved HD/H1/A+ in the second half of 2024
✅ Are eager to uncover new ways to shine through dance
Then this scholarship is for you! Join us on a journey where movement meets culture, and knowledge meets creativity!

📌 Application Period: Feb 15 – Feb 21, 2025 (closes at 10:00 PM)
📌 Review Period: Feb 22 – Feb 24, 2025

📌 Scholarship Activation: Mar 1 – Mar 7, 2025
📌 Scholarship Validity: Mar 1 – May 31, 2025 (non-extendable)
📍 How to Apply:
1️⃣ Submit the application form with your academic transcript within the application period.
2️⃣ If selected, winners must take a “Scholar Spotlight” photo at JMC Dance Lab and share it on Instagram with #melbourneJMCscholarship within the scholarship activation period to activate the scholarship.
